Setting up the database connection

Setting up the database connection in CodeIgniter is a crucial step in building your web application. Without a functioning database connection. your application won’t be able to retrieve or store data. making it virtually useless. Luckily. CodeIgniter makes it relatively easy to set up this connection.

First things first.

you’ll nee to open the database configuration file in CodeIgniter. This file is typically locate in the application/config folder and is name database.php.
